Begin your 2-hour walking tour with a walk to John F. Kennedy's grave site to see the eternal Flame lit by Jackie Kennedy over 50 years ago. Your guide provides you with an extensive history of Arlington cemetery and a leisure walking route throughout the grounds. You will conclude your tour with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and witness the Changing of the Guard, a long running ceremony considered by many to be one of the can't-miss things in Washington DC to see.
Important Note: The Arlington tour is recommended only for those able to stand and walk briskly for that period of time and is not ideal for people with mobility issues (including but not limited to wheelchairs, canes, walkers, oxygen tanks, scooters, etc.) or accompanied by small children or babies in strollers.
There will be extensive walking throughout both the tour, guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes. Tours are not recommended for guests with mobility issues or accompanied by small children. Plan for the weather, most of the tour is outdoors. Umbrellas recommended.
Food and drinks are not allowed in Arlington Cemetery other than water.
The tour starts at 10:00 pm - please meet at Arlington Cemetery Metro Stop. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour start time by 9:45.
Paid parking is also available at Arlington National Cemetery (guests parking there must return to Arlington on their own at end of the tour from the Lincoln Memorial).
Washington DC can be very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer, please dress accordingly.
